WTF Liverpool?

Aargh 2 losses in 3 matches thats as many losses in 2 weeks as in the whole of last season, really not a good start to what was meant to be our season, the only consolation is the scum don't look too hot either.

I feel I'm a jinx to my two favourite sporting loves. It seems it is impossible for both Roger Federer and Liverpool FC to be playing well at the same time. When Liverpool were on a roll in the early part of the year Federer's play was an unremitting error fest, now Federer is playing well again Liverpool have decided to turn shambolic.

Useless the lot of them.

The famous Man Utd went to Rome to see the Pope....

A day late and my first entry in months, but what a week 4-0 against Madrid and when I thought things couldn't get better

Sleep I will not know you

First day of the Aussie Open and I'm already all over the palce sleep wise. Luckily I'm off the next couple of weeks so I will not be running on fumes as I normally am.

rambling about days matches )

Cant be arsed to stay up for the Murray match I love him but Pavel who's currently ranked something like 1000 in the world, he'll be lucky to get one game. Going to try and sleep and be up at 4.30 for Hewitt/Gonzales, that has 5 set barnstormer written all over it (I hope)

Dickens on the telly

Catching up with my Sky + episodes of Little Dorritt and the only definitive thing I can say about it is it isn't as good as Bleak House. Its well made etc but its leaving me a bit cold. I think the problem is that it is straying too far from the book and I normally don't mind that but for some reason it's really irritating me.

On a more down market note loving me some Merlin in all its ridiculous, historically mangled, Arthur cant act to save his life, slashy glory.

Off to watch Top Gear.

Goodbye No 1

Its been a dazzling 4.5 years but all good things must come to an end and other such cliches.
Having said that I hope this gives you a monumently kick up the arse to get out of whatever this funk is that your in and come out hungry for those last 3 GS titles.

Some Spaniard's run off with all your prize possessions fight for them.

Oh Roger
Losing to Karlovic of all people.

Well the wheels have well and truly fallen off.

I'm more devastated by this lose than Wimbledon. Something is well and truly wrong. What is really worrying is that he seems to be struggling most on hard courts, which were always his bread and butter. For some bizzare reason he appears to now be better on clay than hard.

I've lost all my hope he can win US Open and I have bad feelings about the Olympics.

I refuse to give up completely on you Roger, I've invested 8 years of my life supporting you, go away for a while if you have to, just regroup and come out swinging in 2009.

Never drinking again

I'm getting way to old for this wkend benders thing. Three nights of drinking and smoking too much and my bodies wrecked. I haven't got the recuperation powers of old anymore. Been in bed all day recovering so now I can't sleep. Thank God its the summer holidays.

And I've just run out of fags, aargh its 4.30am and there is no where close to get any. It's times like this I really wish I could drive.

Typical its now teeming down so there is no way I am going out.

I WANT NICOTINE.

Espania and Wimbledon

So happy to see Spain make it through to the Semis. Spain are my team for the tournament, partly because of your man in my icon and his fellow Spanish Liverpool players but also I've always had a soft spot for Spain as they play lovely attacking football. Unfortunately they constantly flame out in the knock out stages (sort of like Holland last night) So I fully expected Italy to pull it out and God was that some of the ugliest defensive football ever from the Italians. So I am ecstatic that they did it. Boring match though.

I am still in a bad mood with Holland for denying me my Spain-Holland match that I was so looking forward to.

Oh yeah and I almost forgot Wimbledon tomorrow, wont be able to see Federers match as I'll be in work. It had better be the walkover it looks on paper but this year is like a flash back to pre-2003 when I was always worried he'd get knocked out in the first round to some no mark and he often did. I remain firm in my belief that he will right himself on the grass of Wimbledon.
